Looks like a good news for Destiny players as the upcoming 1.1.2 update will include numerous new features and more audio options.
After revealing the issues Bungie intended to address for "Destiny" in its upcoming 1.1.2 update, the developer has finally revealed some exciting new features, modes and changes coming to Destiny.
Besides other UI interface changes and revamped vault space, the studio promised an array of new tweaks for the next patch.
On Thursday, March 19, community manager, DeeJ revealed on the company's website that the developer is ready to introduce gamers to the artists, designers and engineers who are working toward delivering on that promise.
Besides other features bundled into 1.1.2, Bungie is delivering some new Settings players need in order to isolate the frequency of the people in their Fireteam, or pump up their own jams.
Jay Weinland, Head of Audio at Bungie who has been working at the controls, talked about how the audio team is working to change the way gamers hear Bungie games. Citing gamers' requirement to sometimes elevate the voices of their friends above the mix, Weinland said Chat Volume is a setting that will let you adjust the players on your team in a range from 50% up to +125%.
Weinland further noted that Game Volume adjusts all in-game dialogue, sounds effects, as well as music as one close-knit unit in a range from 0% to 100%. That said, Chat Volume adjusts the chat volume of players' speakers and not of their chat headset.
Besides options in connection with tweaking the volume control of voice chat, 1.1.2 update will greatly help out select players, such as new color configurations for players who are colorblind.
According to GamesPresso, in Bungie's upcoming 1.1.2 update, colorblind support will be put into effect for players who cannot perceive certain things in the game. Bungie noted that we don't see the world the same way like some of our eyes literally see color differently.
User Interface Engineering Lead, Brad Fish led the effort to make Destiny colorblind-friendly.
Destiny heavily relies on color to communicate some very important information to the players, specifically in the user interface. While many may not have trouble differentiating the red blips on the motion tracker from the red surface of Mars, for example, but chances are there are players who do have trouble doing so. That said, the solution for this is a proper "Colorblind Mode" for Destiny.
The changes will further help those who are colorblind better identify things like loop drop qualities or enemy shield types.
Bungie.net is changing how players sign in to their profiles; the changes may affect players' profiles or even prevent them from logging into their Bungie.net account.
Account link and account creation with Google has now been discontinued. Although players may still login to an existing profile using Google, it is best to link a PSN ID or Gamertag to the account as soon as possible as this option will be removed March 24th.
Players will no longer be able to link a Facebook account or use it to create a new profile. This option will cease on March 24th. For the remaining week, players may still login to an existing profile with Facebook; however they will need to have a different authentication method (i.e. PSN ID or Gamertag) in place after that.
Microsoft Accounts without linked Gamertags can't be linked or used to create a new profile. If you don't have a linked tag, sign-in will work for a time but eventually will stop working.
