Looks like Ronda Rousey is all set to return to the octagon again following her epic title defense against Cat Zingano, this time, against Brazilian mixed martial artist, Bethe Correia.

Women's bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey is set to face Bethe Correia in the UFC 190 main event on Aug. 1, UFC President Dana White officially announced on Friday, March 20.

According to MMAWeekly, during the UFC 189 World Tour press conference, White confirmed that UFC 190 will take place at the HSBC Arena in Rio. The event will feature Bethe Correia vs. Ronda Rousey.

Both women then joined in for question, MMAWeekly reported.

The announcement shocked fans as Correia who is undefeated (9-0), has been calling for a bout against Rousey since her arrival in the UFC. Since the Brazilian mixed martial artist, Bethe Correia has already defeated two of Rowdy's close friends and teammates, Shayna Baszler and Jessamyn Duke, she has been finally granted the title shot.

Following her unbelievable 14 seconds title defense against Cat Zingano on Feb. 28, Rousey (11-0), not only asked to face Correia but also take the fight in Correia's home country, Brasil.

MyrtleBeachOnline noted that the sport's most dominant champion defeated Zingano with an arm bar finishing her fifth title defense and marking the fastest submission victory in the sport's championship history.

Instead of considering an extended break to make another film, Rowdy chose a summer bout with Correia, who has repeatedly called her out rudely.

"I would definitely say this is a personal fight," Ronda admitted. She pointed at a great saying by her dad that when somebody needed to be shown what's up, the person needs to have a come-to-Jesus meeting. She added, Correia is going to have her own come-to-Jesus meeting in her home country, Brazil. She strongly stated that her intention is not simply defeating her, but to make her leave the arena embarrassed and the best way to do it is to beat her in her own backyard.

Citing that UFC is in fact running out of legitimate opponents for Rousey, Correia seems to be the most respected remaining contender in the 135-pound division.

The Brazilian mixed martial artist, Correia seemed confident as she stated through a translator that she is going to beat Ronda. Correia added that she will make Ronda feel the weight of her hand. Talking about Ronda coming to Brazil, she said Ronda will leave the belt there.

That said, Correia admitted that the Brazilian crowd puts a lot of burden and Ronda sure will feel the weight.

Although Rousey traveled the world during her career in Judo, this will be the first time she will fight an MMA bout outside North America.
