Good news to all gadget enthusiast and camera users as the release date for the GoPro Hero 5 has been revealed along with its new features.

It was previously reported by Value Walk that the GoPro Hero 5 release date was delayed due to the new improvements made for the camera; however, Day Herald reportedly claimed that the GoPro Hero 5 is rumored to launch on September 2015.

Value Walk further adds that the delay could be good thing for GoPro Inc. to test out new ideas and features for the GoPro Hero 5.

Several reports from different websites such as the Gospel Herald and the Fuse Joplin claimed that GoPro Inc. might release the GoPro Hero 5 in October this year, but it seems that the company worked hard and fast enough to apply the improvements needed to give it an early launch than expected.

So what are the improved specs and features that are present in the GoPro Hero 5?

According to the Fuse Joplin, the new GoPro Hero 5 has a battery capacity of 2,800 mAh, which will increase the current mode’s battery lifetime by up to 150 percent. It can be noted that its predecessor - the GoPro Hero 4 Silver and Black Editions - came with 1,160 mAh lithium-ion batteries.

Acoording to reports, the GoPro Hero 5 can record up to 8K resolution as the upcoming camera will come with a more advanced processor that yields resolution at the same frame rate though The Latino Post has reported that GoPro Hero 5 can record 4k videos with 60 frames per second, Bluetooth 4.0 for faster upload speed and an A10 chip processor.

The Fuse Joplin reports that new GoPro camera is waterproof and it can survive down to 60 meters under the water. This trumps the GoPro Hero 4 which can resist down to 40 meters underwater.

Ecumenitical News reportedly claimed that the GoPro Hero 5 has a price range of $400 to $500, while the Fuse Joplin said it will cost around $450 to $550.
