Vin Diesel honored his friend and late co-star Paul Walker in the most wonderful way, by naming his newborn baby, Pauline.

Diesel ensured that Walker's memory would live on by naming his baby girl Pauline. Diesel and his girlfriend, Paloma Jimenez welcomed their bundle of joy earlier this month and the 47-year-actor revealed the name Monday, March 23 on Today. Diesel opened up in a new interview on Monday on how wonderful, but emotional it was to honor Walker in the new "Furious 7" film on NBC's Today.

Talking about his late co-star and best friend, Diesel said that as he was cutting the umbilical cord, he was only thinking about Walker.

Diesel added that he knew Walker was there and it felt like a way to keep Walker's memory, a part of his memory, a part of his world, RealityWorld reported.

HollywoodLife.com noted that Diesel told the anchor that he knows that he is a good soul and believed that this was in good hands. Due to the loss of best friend and co-star, it's obviously a very difficult time for Diesel who has started his press tour for his new film "Furious 7."

On the one-year anniversary of his friend's death, the "xXx" star took to his Facebook and posted a picture of Walker bonding with Vin's firstborn daughter, Hania Riley.

Vin and Paul debuted as Dominic Torretto and Brian O'Conner in "The Fast And The Furious" and they went on to co-star in four sequels. In Nov. 2013, Walker died in a car accident at age 40 and Vin honored his friend and late co-star at an advance screening of "Furious 7" last week.

Pauline is Vin's third child with longtime girlfriend, Paloma Jiménez. The pair announced the pregnancy in Feb. and is also parents to 4-year-old Vincent Sinclair and Hania Riley, 6.

"Furious 7" opens in theatres Friday, April 3.
