The Huawei upcoming smartphone the Huawei Ascend P8 dimension has leaked online ahead of its release date in April, cite GSM Arena.
The photo shows an exact measurement of the device and based on the image the model is set to be 6.6mm thick. Based on the image, the exact dimensions of the P8 are 144.9 x 71. 9 x 6.6mm, compared the 138.8 x 68.8 x 6.5mm of the Huawei Ascend P7.
According to Pocket-lint the Huawei Ascend P8 is reported to feature a metal chassis and a ceramic back.
The site wrote a French leaker Onleaks has posted an image of what they claimed as a prototype Ascend P8, which shows a metal frame with a chamfered edges.
As for the display, the Huawei Ascend P8 is rumored to offer a 5.2-inch 1080p screen which translates into 424 ppi, while GSM Arena added that the device is expected to come with bigger screen than its predecessor.
The device is rumored to use Corning's latest glass and its display panel is reported to fall into the 2.5D type.
Under the hood, the Huawei Ascend P8 might run on 16nm FinFET Huawei Octa-core Kiron 930 processor from TSMC and will be paired with 3 GB of RAM.
In terms of camera, the smartphone is expected to offer a 13MP rear camera with more photography features and have a good shooting quality.
The device is rumored to have a 2,600 mAh battery and the speaker of the said handset has been moved from its traditional location on the back and I now on the bottom. At the bottom, there are two strings of holes, as of this writing it is not clear yet if there is a speaker behind each or the other one is just a decoration.
Meanwhile, the company has invited the press to an event scheduled on April 15 in London, where the company might unveil the Ascend P8. The device price might be around 2,999 CNY.
