Good news Marvel fans as new updates for Marvel and Sony's new Spider-Man movie have revealed regarding a new actor playing the web-slinger and a rumored cameo in "Avengers 2" movie.

According to Badass Digest, Marvel has been looking for 16 -17 year-old actors that will play the part of Peter Parker in the new Spider-Man film. Marvel was very secretive about the audition process that held it outside their offices.

Badass Digest source claimed that "Hostages" star Mateus Ward auditioned for the role of Spider-Man in the new Spidey flick, but the website did not discuss further whether Ward past the audition or not.

Marvel CCO Joe Quesada confirmed that a teenage Peter Parker will be present in the Marvel Cinematic Universe instead of the Ultimate Spider-Man Miles Morales, Screenrant reports.

"The trick to making any incarnation of Spider-Man great, whether comics, animation or film is Peter Parker. Get Peter’s character right and the rest falls into place," Quesada wrote in Tumblr.

Several actors have been rumored to play Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe such as Zack Efron, Logan Lerman, Dylan O'Brian etc.

While Donald Glover, Sam Strike and Freddie Highmore have voiced out there interest in playing Spidey in future projects.

Meanwhile, several rumors are making rounds that Spider-Man will show up in "Avengers: Age of Ultron".

According to Comic Central City, Spider-Man will appear in the end credits of "Avengers Age of Ultron" as he saves a civilian ( played by Marvel creator Stan Lee) from falling debris of building.

"The end credits scene starts with a view of a half destroyed building. Stan Lee is then shown walking around the building as a piece of debris is about to fall on him. As the debris about to hit Stan Lee, Spider-Man swings and grabs Stan Lee, saving him at the last minute. Stan Lee says thanks to Spider-Man as Spider-Man gives him a thumbs up and zips away," Comic Central City wrote.

ComicBookResources hinted that aside from Spidey other heroes are also rumored to show up in "Avengers: Age of Ultron" including Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and Spider-Woman.
