UFC president Dana White claims former professional boxer Laila Ali would be in big trouble against the UFC champ Ronda Rousey if she fights her.
It looks like everyone wants to fight female bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey and UFC President Dana White would actually be happy to make one such fight a reality.
USAToday noted that American professional boxer; Laila Ali had some very strong words about the idea of fighting Rousey. When asked by a TMZ camera crew earlier this month if she could beat Ronda, the retired boxing star said "No woman can beat me. Period."
According to ESPN, the two then exchanged words via the media and social network platforms like Twitter for a few days before it finally stopped and fans turned their attention to the next celeb who claimed she could beat Rousey.
White went as far as stating that Ali would be in big trouble against the UFC champ as she is the best fighter in the world.
"Laila if you're serious, call me," White added, confirming she will get it if she wants it.
Ali too didn't mince words over the possibility of fighting Rousey. She cited the fact that she is not a UFC fighter and Rousey is not a boxer, to not answer the question. However, she said no woman can beat her. Ali later made it perfectly clear that despite the fact that no woman could beat her, she was not planning on putting that statement to the test.
That said, if she have a change of heart, Dana White will be happy to organize the event and he even claimed she would be in the 14-seconds range.
Laila has yet to respond.
