Good news Marvel fans as new updates for Marvel's new Netflix series"Daredevil" has been revealed, regarding a new trailer and updates on the "classic" red costume.
Screenrant has reported that a new trailer for "Daredevil" series has been released last week and the video shows the origin story of Matt Murdock from his training to his early pursuit as a vigilante in Hell's Kitchen.
The video shows a young Matt Murdock talking to another blind person named Stick as he asked how did he get blinded in the first place. The scene cuts to the day Matt was blinded during an accident to which his eyes were burned by chemicals, and the last person he saw was his father, Jack Murdock tending him.
As he was blinded, Matt can "hear things" as the chemical not only blinded him but gave him superhuman sharpness that allows him to sense everything within the area.
The scene cuts to his early days as a masked vigilante fighting dangerous gangs and criminals throughout the city as he claims he wanted to make the city a better place.
Blastr has reported that the show's main star Charlie Cox has shared his thoughts about "Daredevil" during an interview with Empire Online.
“This is more sinister, and that really suits the character. The hero and the villain… it’s a very blurry line. Let’s say that you didn’t know anything about Daredevil, hopefully you would feel a sense of ambiguity about who’s on the right path here. And, well, you know… we have blood,” Cox said to Empire Online.
As for Matt Murdock's red costume, Blastr reportedly claimed that executive producer and showrunner Steven S. DeKnight revealed that Daredevil's costume will eventually evolve on its own as the viewers will see how Matt improves himself in each episode
"He starts wearing protective pads. Eventually it morphs into the classic suit, because he wouldn't be Daredevil without it. Getting there is part of the fun. The idea was to back the story up to the point before Matt is Daredevil," DeKnight told Comics Continuum.
Marvel's chief creative officer Joe Quesada also explained his take on having the black costume instead of the red.
"We had to come up with a logic for it, It was a delicate balance, because the stories we're telling are so real-world. Matt starts out in a homemade outfit that develops slowly, Quesada said. "As he starts getting the crap kicked out of him on the streets, he adds padding little by little."
Moviepilot previously claimed that Daredevil's red costume is similar to his appearance in the 2004 storyline "Secret War."
"Daredevil" series will premiere in Netflix on April 10, 2015 and it stars Cox as Matt Murdock/Daredevil, Deborah Ann Wall as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson and Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin.
