Mama June is still shopping around a reality show centered on the family despite the legal threats by TLC, which axed the show in the aftermath of the "Honey Boo Boo" scandal last year.

According to TMZ, Mama June and the rest of the family "are laughing off TLC's legal threats." Apparently, in their mind, the network breached the contract which gives them the authority to shop around a spinoff.

"Sources close to Mama June and co. tell us the family claims their health insurance hasn't been paid since November -- which was part of their contract -- so they no longer believe they should answer to TLC," it said.

"But our network sources claim the deal only required TLC to pay through 2014 -- which it says was covered in full," the article added. "For extra generosity, the network claims it agreed to pay for the family's insurance this year too, up until May -- and we're told THAT is June's beef."

However, TLC reportedly will cover the health insurance payments, "it just hasn't yet."

TLC cancelled Mama June's reality show after the "Honey Boo Boo" scandal broke out. It also threatened the brood with legal action if the matriarch insisted on going to other networks who will produce a reality show surrounding the family's antics.

Perez Hilton added, "We actually understand why that might bother Mama June. Her family could need health insurance now, not whenever TLC decides to pay for it! On the other hand, she brought a convicted child molester back into their lives and tanked the whole show, so we can see why TLC wouldn't want to deal with that."

The "Honey Boo Boo" scandal revolved around the alleged affair by Mama June with Mark McDaniel, a convicted child molester, who was imprisoned after he touched Chickadee when she was still eight years old.
