Muhammad Ali is reportedly rooting for the Filipino fighter. His daughter has confirmed that her dad is predicting that Manny Pacquiao would win on the upcoming fight in May, writes TMZ Sports.
"May dad is Team Pacquiao all the way, my dad really likes Manny, he's a huge fan of his," said Rasheda Ali. "He knows Manny's a great fighter, but it's more about what he does outside the ring, he's such a charitable person."
As for Floyd Mayweather, Rasheda said that her dad respects him and disclosed that Muhammad will not be able to attend the fight in Las Vegas.
Meanwhile, local media in the Philippines PhilStar reported that according to GMA News, coach Freddie Roach is not happy about the latest sparring session the champ had. Manny Pacquiao has sparred nine rounds against different partners, but Roach was not happy how it went.
"I was just a little frustrated because I mean why with me it's okay but when he gets in there with somebody else he completely changes," said Roach.
The report said that Roach climbed the ring to show Pacquiao, how it is supposed to be done, whoever he was sparring mate. He also added that he will not be nice to Pacquiao. He said that he will do what he wants since it is the way to beat Floyd Mayweather.
He said that he does not usually yell at Manny and that he respects him, but he emphasized that he wants him to know that the upcoming fight is important. Furthermore, the publication added that Manny Pacquiao is shifting his focus on footwork as training for the upcoming fight with Floyd Mayweather.
Pacquiao had reportedly said that foot speed is the focus of his training in the coming two weeks. The Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao fight is happening on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
