Still fresh from her "WrestleMania" moment, Ronda Rousey may make an appearance at WWE Extreme Rules 2015.
With WrestleMania 31 now in the rear-view mirror, WWE is set to move onto the next big event -- "Extreme Rules."
According to Inquisitr, some things were cleared up on "Monday Night Raw" in order to make way for the "SmackDown" taping on Tuesday. That was where two huge title matches for the upcoming "Extreme Rules" were put in motion.
The big question on every WWE and UFC fan's mind is whether Ronda Rousey will be there.
Ronda Rousey's WWE WrestleMania 31 appearance alongside her good friend Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson fueled speculations that the UFC fighter may have a WWE match lined up in her future. Rousey tossed Triple H and Stephanie McMahon out of the ring in front of 76,976 fans at Levi's Stadium.
It's no secret that Ronda is a huge professional wrestling fan and has attended shows in the past; however, this was the first time she not only got in the ring but also got involved with the WWE. The "People's Champ," Dwayne Johnson, pulled Rousey into the ring before a confrontation with Stephanie McMahon and her husband Paul Levesque, who is better known to WWE fans as Triple H.
According to FOXSports, a deal to get the mixed martial-artist to appear in the WWE had been in the works for several months. Ronda's agent, Brad Slater from William Morris Endeavor, who also represents Johnson, told Ariel Helwani of UFC Tonight that this was a one-shot deal and Ronda is not slated to appear on WWE programming again this year.
Slater further added that there is no guarantee of anything else in the works.
UFC star Ronda Rousey's return to WWE is one of the biggest rumors floating around, Inquisitr noted. If that's not all, rumors claim that both Rousey and CM Punk will show up at Extreme Rules.
Punk tweeted the date of Extreme Rules and the hashtag of "#NeverSayNever." In addition, Ronda tweeted the date and said "Chicago is not ready for this" and gave an "#ExtremeRules" hashtag. Further making matters seem more realistic is that Extreme Rules 2015 is scheduled to take place in Punk's hometown, at the Allstate Arena in Chicago.
That said, a possibility of CM Punk never setting foot in a WWE ring again cannot be ignored, especially now that he has moved into MMA. As far as Ronda is concerned, citing the fun she had at WrestleMania, it won't be a surprise if she ends up in a WWE ring again someday.
If this is anything indication to go by, fans are in for an amazing Extreme Rules show.
