Destiny's "House of Wolves" release could seem too long for the title's huge fan base, which might now switch allegiances to "Call of Duty."

On March 27, Bungie in its Weekly Update announced that the upcoming 1.1.2 update will prepare Destiny players for the arrival of the much-awaited "House of Wolves." It will reportedly come with new features that fans will enjoy.

However, since second DLC of "House of Wolves" release date was pushed back, players of the hit first-person shooter video game have all of a sudden had to face a probable arid period in the game's lifespan.

Express noted that the House of Wolves was set to hit download markets last month. However, Bungie postponed it and has not yet announced a new date. If the purported arrival window, which has been set between April 1 - June 30, is anything to go by, the release could be set for this month.

That said, other leaks in the past year have hinted that House of Wolves could be released on May 19, and will feature a wide range of new missions, strikes and Crucible levels. Leaks in the world of Destiny are not uncommon and have found to be advantageous when it comes to finding out crucial pieces of information for future expansion.

Destiny developer, Bungie, however always highlighted that leaked details may not be any indication of the final product. In February, community manager, David "DeeJ" Dague urged players to leave their mind open to the evolutions that are inevitable.

"What you see here are very old ghosts from our pre-launch database," DeeJ explained.

Hinting that anything currently known about House of Wolves can change, DeeJ stated "aside from giving it a name, Bungie has yet to reveal the House of Wolves."

According to Express, "The Dark Below," Destiny's last expansion was launched on Dec. 9, and a wait until May would definitely leave the title parched of new content for gamers.

Although the new 1.1.2 update reportedly brings new improvements, like a bigger vault space, will keep players busy, the question is, will it be sufficient to keep other titles from pricing them away?

House of Wolves is reportedly set to include:

  • A new Awoken storyline with Raid
  • A new Fallen Strike and 3 new Crucible maps
  • A big range of new weapons, gears and armor

Having put so many hours into the game, it would appear that the core support is set to stay for what seems to be a long wait for the House of Wolves. On the other hand, players switching games to something like "Call of Duty" or "GTA 5: Online Heists" is also a possibility, reports day.

Do you think the "House of Wolves" would be worth the wait and will meet the players' expectations? Let us know in the comments below!
