Looks like the upcoming 1.1.2 update for Destiny is set to fix several issues that players have been facing. Update 1.1.2 has been a hot topic between Bungie and "Destiny" players for weeks now.
The much-anticipated enhancement reportedly looks to address numerous issues that Xbox players and PlayStation players have had with the more challenging aspect of the hit first-person shooter video game. These include the bugs experienced during Raids and a couple of inordinately difficult Strikes.
In Bungie Weekly Update, community manager DeeJ shared more details on the changes coming to the game.
Inquisitr also noted that the issues "Destiny" players experience when dealing with Crota and Raid bosses Atheon are finally being taken care of. "Destiny" developer Bungie earlier stated that it was targeting "Vault of Glass," as well as "Crota's End" Raid bugs. However, the company could not assure whether these have been included in the final update before the "House of Wolves" expansion is finally released.
Since Bungie published an inventory of what it's packing into the forthcoming download, the developer has been itemizing the list with more detail about the contents.
Things Bungie is doing to refine PVE activities include:
- raid fixes
- the worst bugs related to those certain times when Atheon and Crota had been uncooperative
- strikes.
Bungie cites numbers that reveal there are some missions that are far less often completed as compared to other missions. Bungie is also reportedly looking at why people quit.
Although the exact list of Destiny Raid fixes was not shared by Bungie yet, Activities engineer Sean Chan provided insight into the complications of trying to fix them. Making sure that a fix did not break another aspect of the game was not the only challenge the company had to deal with.
According to Chan, the game had a bug where players were not doing damage to Minotaurs with the Relic shield.
The complicated hit test used to detect a melee hit just missed the combatant simply because of the long shape of its body, Chan explained. He admitted some of these bugs were truly hard to understand, but the developer dug deep and went to great lengths to improve things.
According to the previous information provided by Bungie, these bugs will likely be addressed, too:
'Vault of Glass" apparently has the longest list of fixes.
- Atheon can teleport erroneous numbers of players into the Vex Timegate.
- Players can be teleported into Vex Timegates with the detain bubble active.
- Even when they seem to be in the relic bubble, Atheon can cause splash damage to players.
- After being struck by the relic, the Minotaur's health and shield regenerate.
- In case the other side is blocked, the time gate could frequently double teleport players.
"Crota's End" list on the other hand is half as long.
- During the Crota fight, the sword that drops from the Swordbearer can sometimes disappear.
- Crota can get up early and kill the sword-carrier out of the blue.
Besides the above changes, some significant changes to "Cerberus Vae III" and "The Dust Palace" are reportedly also slated to come. Bungie's stats reveal that the "Ceberus" Strike has the lowest completion rate due to its length and, particularly, its difficulty during Nightfall Strikes.
Citing the above stats, "Cerebus Vae" boss Valus Ta'Aurc's health will be dropped by a third and the Psion Flayer's shields in the "Dust Palace" will be brought down by 15 percent. David "Deej" Dague also teased that details for the "Trials of Osiris" and the new Reef social are on the way.
