Good news to all Apple users and gadget enthusiast, the release date for the iPhone 6C has been revealed along with rumored specs and price details.

According to MacWorld, Apple will likely launch the rumored iPhone 6C on September 2015 along with two other iPhone models; the iPhone 6S and the 6S Plus.

Value Walk previously reported that the iPhone 7's release date was moved to 2016 due to Apple's decision to change its screen display from LCD to OLED technology.

The Fuse Joplin also posted a leaked photo of the iPhone 6C's case design, which further hints that Apple is really working on the 6C model this year.

As for the rumored specs, CNET reportedly claimed that the iPhone 6C is similar to the iPhone 5C, but its curved screen is said to look like the LG G-Flex.

The iPhone 6C will measure around 4 inches, and its body is made of plastic material rather than metal. Ecumenical News reports that Apple will source the display panels of all their iPhone 6 variants from Japan Display and LG Display, while Sharp will manufacture their screens.

The displays of all three smartphones are made from Corning Gorilla Glass, and Apple will incorporate their new Force Touch Technology on them as well, the website adds.

MacWorld explained the reasons why people want a 4 inch sized iPhone 6C.

"Some people feel that the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 is already "too big." That being said, the outlet is likewise convinced that Apple should launch an iPhone 6c, even adding that it's a necessary move for Apple to break into the huge markets of China, India and Africa."

Both the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus are equipped with the A9 processor chip, while the iPhone 6C will have the A8 processor.

Lastly, BGR reports that the iPhone 6C will cost around $400 to $500 as Apple plans to sell 20 million iPhone 6C units in its first year, MacWorld reports.
