The latest update to the HTC BlinkFeed, renamed HTC Sense Home, brings an array of awesome features including Themes, Home Widgets and new functionality enhancements.
On April 2, HTC updated its BlinkFeed app with an array of new features, while also giving it a brand new title -- "Sense Home."
The Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer not only updated its BlinkFeed app but also added some of the thoughtful software tricks that shipped on its brand new flagship, Engadget noted.
According to PhoneArena, Sense Home accommodates HTC Themes, which is one of the features that appeared on the One M9 that enabled users to create custom themes to give their phone a personal touch. Users can also change sounds, icons, fonts and colors. In addition to creating unique themes from square one, users can also browse and download high-quality designs from the app's catalog.
BlinkFeed
Users can now reportedly read more of what they love from this elegantly arranged, regularly update place on their home screen. Staying in the know with the content that really matter is now easy -- with news, calendar events and social media updates. In addition, an offline reading mode allows users to save articles to read later while on a plane, travelling abroad or simply while on the go.
HTC Themes
A one-of-a-kind appearance without a doubt gives the phone a personal touch.
With HTC Themes, users can create their own themes from scratch. After selecting a favorite photo or by taking a new picture for the wallpaper, the Themes app automatically creates a synchronized color palette. Users can then choose a style to change the icons, sounds and fonts all at the same time, or mix and match elements individually.
Sense Home Widget
The HTC Sense Home widget makes accessing the most frequently used apps effortless. The user's location provides quick access to recently downloaded apps and offers app suggestions based on where they are.
The new Sense Home can be downloaded on the HTC One M8 and even on the 2-year-old HTC One M7 from Google Play. Not all features are available for the M8 and M7, as they require Sense 7 UI, which is yet to be released for the two handsets. Sense Home widget has another novelty -- it automatically shows your regularly used apps based on your location.
