New "Days of Our Lives" spoilers teased that Melissa Archer, who plays Serena Mason on the hit NBC soap has been fired. There may be exciting developments that fans can look forward to in the forthcoming episodes, unfortunately, Melissa would no longer be a part of it.
According to "Days of Our Lives" spoilers from Soap Opera Digest, via Celeb Dirty Laundry, fans of the show could be bidding Melissa Archer's character farewell for good. Archer joined the cast of "Days of Our Lives" earlier this year, but fans and critics alike have panned her seemingly never-ending storyline.
As the website pointed out, the story arc between Serena and Eric had been play out for far too long that the audience eventually lost interest. If the writers would have given her chance to do more, the outcome would have been different.
This is not the first case that this type of incident has happened on the show. Celeb Dirty Laundry reported that Crishell Stauss, who played Jordan Ridgeway, was removed from the show due to her confusing and underdeveloped story arc, which involved an affair with Rafe Hernandez Galen Gering), a brief romance with Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), and a storyline involving her brother Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and her father Clyde (James Read).
Meanwhile, "Days of Our Lives" spoilers from Inquistr have stated that Peter Reckell and Stephen Nichols will return to the long-running soap and reprise their roles Bo Brady and Steve "Patch" Johnson, respectively. They will return to confront their former wives Hope Williams Brady (Kristian Alfonso) and Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans), and reunite with their families.
Some have said that the show is taking a step in the right direction. By doing so, they believe that the show is going back to basics and removing the mess that has clouded the show's plot in past couple of seasons. Fans also believe that this will help "Days of Our Lives" regain its former glory in terms of both critical acclaim and ratings.
