Apple has officially disclosed that the Apple Watch will be up for preorder starting on April 10 at 12:01 a.m. PST and will be on sale on April 24, writes Yahoo.
The Apple Watch has three different models, namely Apple Watch, Apple Watch Sport and Apple Watch Gold Edition, each with a different pricing structure.
Among the three models, the cheapest one is the Apple Watch Sport, which costs around $350 for the 38mm size version and $400 for the 42mm variant. This piece is made of aluminum alloy and is available in blue, green, pink and white. The space grey model comes with a black silicone band.
The second model is the Watch. The 38mm silver model with a white or black sports strap costs $550while the 42mm is priced at $600. The pricing increases depending on the strap that the customer will choose. A black leather version with a silver buckle or the all-metal Milanese Loop options are at $650 to $700.
Lastly, the Apple Watch Gold Edition is just as its name suggests. The 38mm model is made of an 18-karat rose gold face and will cost around $10,000 while the 42mm version is reportedly priced at $12,000. The Apple Watch Gold Edition with a classic buckle is priced at $15,000 and the 38mm variant with a leather strap and modern strap costs $17,000.
According to the Independent, Tim Cook said that the smartwatch battery can last for 18 hours of normal use. The said device will be controlled using the voice of the user and has Siri built in, so the user will no longer need to press any button to activate it.
Meanwhile, starting April 10, the smartwatch will be sold in the US, UK, Australia, China, Canada, Germany, Japan and Hong Kong.
