LG smartphone fans have one more reason to look forward to the release of LG G4 after the electronics giant announced today that the company's upcoming G4 will have LG UX 4.0 for an easier and simplified user experience, or UX.

After XDA Developers forum leaked images that highlighted subtle changes fans might see in the upcoming G4, the South Korean electronics giant has now unveiled UX 4.0 -- the latest iteration of the manufacturer's UI ahead of LG G4's scheduled launch on April 28. LG Electronics announced Monday, April 6, that its forthcoming G4 will have LG UX 4.0 as an option.

According to WhoWired, the LG UX 4.0 will be eventually applied to products coming after G4. The company explained that its UX 4.0 is human system-centric for easier and uncomplicated UX, professional features for an array of consumer choices, and smarter features.

Without compromising on the highly-advanced functionality, the LG UX 4.0 is simple and intuitive UX and although LG's custom Android UX does not have a catchy name, like Samsung's "TouchWiz" or HTC's "Sense," it's still as capable, according to SlashGear.

Things reportedly really got better for this part of LG's product when it brought the Knock Knock (eventually called Knock Code) to light, unlocking features. LG is now pushing things even further in UX 4.0 with an array of features that aim to make life convenient and smarter.

Some of the features are utilities that almost seem expected to be there. A new Quick Shot feature, for example, enables users to immediately take a picture even when the phone is still locked by pressing the volume down button twice.

Also related to the camera, the UX 4.0 features different user modes such as:

Expert Mode

The mode adds professional-level features via a wide range of settings. The Expert mode will appeal to DSLR fans.

Ring ID

It allows users to assign a different ringtone for certain contacts, thus facilitating in easier identification of who's calling even without looking at the display.

Injecting a bit of intuitiveness into the phone are features that include:

Smart Alert

This feature doesn't just inform users about the weather, but based on user's particular hobbies, it can also make suggestions like whether to bike, run or play basketball on a sunny day. A new Smart Board collects details from various sources like health, music and calendars into a single screen where the user can see them all at a glance.

Calendar App

The new calendar app lets users drag and drop events from social network such as Facebook into your calendar.

Gallery

An updated Gallery allows users to see their photos grouped by location or date, thus helping users to relive those memories.
