It looks like the leaked images of a new Sony Xperia Z4 case is a clear indication of the smartphone's design.

A new 6-inch handset named Xperia Z4 Ultra is presumably in the works at Sony. The new handset will go alongside the much-awaited Xperia Z4, TechRadar reported.

Talk of a new Sony Xperia Ultra handset has been making rounds for a long time and this new bit of information just added fuel to the flame.

According to PhoneArena, the Z4 seems promising in the camera department and is packed with a 20MP cam sensor, which does not offer a more impressive case than the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Edge, as far as fine details are concerned. Nevertheless, it makes up for that with exceptional natural colors. That's pretty good, noting that the Xperia Z4 most probably runs pre-production software.

The case seems to be made of hard plastic and is designed to cover the rear of the device. However, from its cutouts, the button placement can be figured out.

AndroidHeadlines noted that there's one cutout on the back for the camera and LED flash. The power button and the volume rocker can be found on the right side. In addition, the camera button is on the right side, too, but it is a little farther than the other two.

Since the left side of the device does not have any cutouts, there is a possibility that the magnetic charging connector would have gone on this new model.

Although Sony is yet to announce the release date of the Xperia Z4, a report by PCAdvisor claims that it would be unveiled at upcoming IFA 2015 slated to be held between 4 and 9 Sept.

Several reports that have surfaced online suggest the Sony Xperia Z4 will boast a 5.2-inch or 5.5-inch screen with 1440 x 2560px Triluminos display, it will run on an Android 5.0 Lollipop with 32GB Internal memory and 4GB RAM. It will feature a 20.7MP main camera and 4.8MP front snapper, 3420 battery and will pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor.

It is also reported to feature Qi Wireless Charging, IP68 water and dust proof certification, and LTE Cat 9 connectivity features.

In the wake of strong rumors that Sony might kill its smartphone in an attempt to add to its profit margin by concentrating on games, Tim Harrison, Vice President of Global Communications and PR, reportedly confirmed the existence of Xperia Z4 to TrustedReviews.

According to PCAdvisor, Sony's upcoming next-gen smartphone could come with a price tag of around £599 ($882).
