Good news to all gadget enthusiasts, new updates for the HTC One M9 Plus have been revealed regarding its release date and its latest specs and features.
According to the Fuse Joplin, HTC is planning to launch their latest smartphone the HTC One M9 on April 10 as the website stated that the M9 Plus version will follow suit in a month or two. Users might be expecting the HTC One M9 Plus sometime in May, June or July this year.
The Christian Post previously reported that HTC will unveil the HTC One M9 Plus to public in the MWC 2015 event on April 8, 2015. Phone Arena posted several teasers for HTC One M9 Plus with the tag line "More than One", and Upleaks posted the first image of the device in their Twitter page.
As for the new specs and features, Android Authority has reported that the HTC One M9 Plus looks very similar to the regular M9 variant, having the two-tone silver/golden paint job and styling.
However, it has two distinctive elements that separates it from its predecessor: the fingerprint sensor on the front and the Duo Camera on the back.
"The fingerprint sensor is touch-based (no more swiping!), though its positioning and especially its Samsung-style appearance are a bit questionable. The Duo Camera on the back is comprised of a 20MP main shooter, along with a secondary depth sensor, just like on last year’s M8. Also like on the M8, the main camera is rounded, which arguably looks better than the square style on the M9," Android Authority wrote.
PC Advisor reports that HTC One M9 Plus is equipped with a 5.2 inch Quad HD LCD display that renders a resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. It has an octa-core Snapdragon 810 chipset from Qualcomm, an Adreno 430 GPU for graphics and has 3GB of RAM. Its internal memory is at 32GB, but users can expand its memory at 128GB using a microSD card.
Android Authority further adds that another variant of M9 Plus is equipped with the a 64-bit MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795T) processor, with eight Cortex A53 cores clocked at 2.2GHz and an integrated LTE.
Its rear camera as mentioned before is at 20MP, while its front shooter is a 4MP UltraPixel camera.
Additional features includes a BoomSound speakers with Dolby Audio enhancements, a 2840 mAh battery and the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for protection.
So far, HTC has not yet announced the price range for the HTC One M9 Plus.
