It looks like new updates and possible spoilers for Marvel's upcoming movie, "Avengers: Age of Ultron" have been revealed regarding new cast members and cameo appearances.
Screenrant previously reported that "Avengers 2" director Joss Whedon added two actresses in the movie namely Julie Delpy (Before Midnight) and Linda Cardellini (Mad Men). Both of there names appeared in the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" world premiere cast list courtesy of Slash Film.
However, Screenrant has reported a revised version of the world premiere list, and Cardellini's name is oddly placed in the guest list instead of the cast list.
Strange as it may look, one thing is certain is that they are both part "Avengers: Age of Ultron", and Marvel fans are curious to know what kind of role will they play during the film.
MCU Exchange reportedly claimed that both Delpi and Cardellini will play two characters that are connected to two Avenger members: Hawkeye and Black Widow.
According to the website, Delpy will be playing Madam B, and she is theorized as person responsible for Black Widow's creation given that she is a former KGB spy in Russia.
"Madame B. is a character I'm not familiar with, but the popular theory is that she has something to do with Black Widows flashback," MCU Exchange wrote.
As for Cardellini, she will be cast as Laura Barton, Hawkeye's wife. Laura Barton is a character from the Ultimate Marvel Comics, and just like in the movie she is Clint's wife before she was killed sometime in the comics.
Aside from the two characters, the website further adds that Thanos is said to have an appearance in the Avengers sequel, although it did not specify on how or when will he show up during the movie.
Cinemablend quoted that,"There are still a few issues regarding Thanos’ appearance that remain very much up for debate, though. This includes how long he will actually appear in Avengers: Age Of Ultron. So far, Marvel fans’ only interactions with the villain have consisted of his ever so brief introduction in The Avengers and a slightly longer scene from Guardians where he was on Sanctuary, his domain."
"Both have been slightly underwhelming, and we can only hope that Josh Brolin will be given a bit more screen-time to impose his terror and villainy in next month’s release," Cinemablend adds.
Lastly, Entertainment Weekly has reported that the film will not have a post-credit scene at the end as Whedon felt there was no way to top the post-battle shawarma scene from the previous movie.
“We all came at it separately—we don’t want to chase that,” Whedon says. “That was a jewel and a weird little quirk. “
However, Marvel President Kevin Feige did mentioned a mid-credits scene in "Avengers: Age of Ultron".
“There will be a tag,” Feige told EW. “But there’s not a post-post-credit scene.”
Whedon further adds, “There is nothing at the very end. And that’s not a fake-out. We want people to know so they don’t sit there for 10 minutes and then go: ‘Son of a bitch! I’ll kill them!’”
With that being said, its seems that the Spider-Man cameo in the post-credit scene will not be shown. Thus, rendering it to be a glorified rumor, or perhaps this could still happen in the mid-credit scene in the movie.
"Avengers: Age of Ultron" will hit theaters on May 1, 2015.
