Good news Marvel fans, new updates for Marvel's Netflix series "Daredevil" have been revealed regarding a leaked photo of Matt Murdock's red costume, and a rumored appearance in "Captain America: Civil War" film.
According to ComicBook.com, several fans have discovered what appears to be a purported photo of Daredevil's "classic" red costume for the "Daredevil" Netflix series. The website further adds that the image is also found on Reddit, and has been making rounds within the website as well as various Imgur accounts.
Here is the purported image below.
Screenrant previously reported that "Daredevil" star Charlie Cox revealed several new details on Matt Murdock's costume during a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything).
"Obviously, it was great to involve the John Romita Jr. black ninja costume, but the day I first put on the iconic costume is a day I will never forget,” Cox said.
Cox further adds, “Obviously, I had to learn quite a few skill sets for this role. The main ones being: Blindness, forms of martial arts and the American accent. However, the greater part of my preparation was spent reading comics. I think you will find influence from many of the DD writers and illustrators over the years. Personally, I found Bendis/Maleev runs incredibly helpful in terms of the tone of our show.”
Moviepilot previously claimed that Daredevil's red costume will be similar to his appearance in the 2004 storyline "Secret War". However, fans have noted that the costume bears a resemblance to the D.G.Chichester and Scott McDaniel "armored" costume from the '90s, ComicBook.com reports.
Lastly, Screenrant previously reported that Cox is also interested in letting his character appear in "Captain America: Civil War", or even be a part of the Avengers in future films.
"I have no idea if this is even a possibility, but I can tell you that I would love nothing more. I don’t see why the character from our show couldn't fit in with the Avengers, if he was invited," Cox said.
Cox told IGN that he previously read the Marvel Civil War comic book, and wonders if Daredevil in the Marvel Cinematic Universe would do the same thing.
“I’ve been reading Civil War – and Daredevil does appear in that. And look – again, just to clarify – I have not been called about that. I haven’t been invited to that party!" Cox said to IGN, "But it would be very very cool. Just to be in the background, saying cool stuff every now and then. It would be cool to be with all those guys.”
"Daredevil" will premiere on Netflix on April 10, 2015.
