Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan will be back to reprise their roles on the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel and the said film might premiere in 2017, writes Venture Capital Post.
The publication said that, Christian Grey, which is played by Jamie Dornan, and Anastasia Steele, played by Dakota Johnson, will be back for part two, as both actors have reportedly signed a contract to do the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel. This somehow contradicts rumors that Jamie Dornan's wife Amelia Warner was not comfortable with the nude scenes shown on the movie and that the actor might not be able to do the sequel altogether.
However, according to the International Business Times, a source clarified that the 32-year-old actor will be back for the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel.
"Jamie is delighted that the film is breaking box office records worldwide and whilst the studio has not made any formal announcements about sequels, he is looking forward to making the next film," said the source.
Moreover, the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel, which will be titled "50 Shades Darker" will not likely be shown in 2016. It was previously reported that Sam Taylor-Johnson decided not to direct the upcoming film after having conflicting views with Dornan while shooting the first movie.
The "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel is expected to premiere in 2017, if no delays happen. E L James, the author of the best-selling novel and the blockbuster movie, will reportedly return to write the script for the sequel.
Based on the book, "50 Shades Darker" will be about Christian proposing marriage to Anastasia. "Fifty Shades of Grey" was a global hit and has reportedly collected a whopping $566 million worldwide.
