The Netflix has released the "Orange is the New Black" season 3 trailer, showing Alex being back on the series.

The New York Daily News reported that Netflix unveiled the "Orange is the New Black" season 3 trailer on Thursday. In the video, Pennsatucky, played by Taryn Manning welcomes the new inmates to the Connecticut prison saying, "Welcome to Litchfield two point nothing!"

Laura Prepon, who is playing the role of Alex Vause, is apparently back.

"How am I back here?" Alex asked Piper, apparently not aware that her ex framed her to reunite with her behind bars.

Also, Lea DeLaria, known as Big Boo, will have a makeover from Sophia (Laverne Cox) and Crazy Eyes (Uzi Aduba).

The new characters in Litchfield are Lolly (Lori Petty) and Piper (Taylor Schilling). The site wrote that Piper will focus on the return of her ex-girlfriend Alex.

Furthermore, Christian Today added that, according to reports, two characters will not be returning this season, namely Larry Bloom, played by Jason Biggs, and George Mendez, played by Pablo Schreiber.

However, the publication wrote that other cast that will be included are Mary Steenburgen, Blair Brown and Mike Birbiglia. Also, the Australian model-actress Ruby Rose will play the role as Stella Carlin, as the new love interest of Alex and Piper.

For the upcoming season, there will be more drama between Litchfield prison guard John Bennett (Matt McGorry) and Daya (Dascha Polanco).

"There is a moment in one of the episodes in Season 3 that was definitely my most creatively fulfilling episode. I felt like it really rounded out the character and helped us understand a little bit more about where Bennett comes from," McGorry reportedly said in an interview.

"Orange is the New Black" season 3 will premier in June 12 on Netflix.
