Electronic Arts has recently released the "Sims 4" patch update for PC and Mac users, which fixed issues in the medical career of "Sims 4: Get to Work" and given updates on alien abductions and male pregnancy.

According to Sims VIP, the "Sims 4" patch update for PC version 1.5.149.1020 and Mac version 1.5.149.1220 was released by EA on April 13. To update, it is advisable to remove all MODS and custom content.

The site added that the "Sims 4" patch contains updates about the Sixam world in the latest expansion pack. The developer stated that they "reduced the frequency of alien abductions and further reduced the frequency of male pregnancy thereafter."

EA also fixed a couple issues in the medical career that causes a problem for actions around repairing medical equipment or transferring a patient case.

The developer has also addressed an issue that causes screenshots to come out blurry, crashes when the player is doing "science stuffy" during the scientist career and an issue "where the children and teens were not getting school credit if they were coming home in a mood not explicitly approved by their school," according to The Sims 4 News.

Also, EA has conducted some remedial WooHoo education if the Sims are not satisfied with their love life or if they are stressed with their new careers.

Other updates include the upgraded firmware for cameras to prevent larger photos from appearing too dark, and fixing an issue that caused problems involving the types of CAS Custom Content.

Meanwhile, to make sure that the game is up to date, check the game version found in Documents - Electronic Arts - The Sims 4 - GameVersion.txt. The game should be version 1.5.149.1220 for Mac and 1.5.149.1020 for PC. If the player has updated but is not showing the exact game version, delete first the GameVersion.txt file, then restart the game to enjoy the new "Sims 4" patch update.
