Looks like The Rock had a significant role to play in convincing Dana White to allow Ronda Rousey to appear on WrestleMania 31 this year.
Apparently, WWE officials feel as though UFC star Ronda Rousey is part of the WWE family now.
Strong rumors making rounds hint that Rousey may have a WWE match in her future. Rousey fueled the speculations following her epic WrestleMania 31 appearance on March 29 in Santa Clara, California.
During the sold out event, UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion and The Rock teamed up against Paul Levesque (Tripe H) and his wife and WWE minority owner, Stephanie McMahon. Now, after her epic WrestleMania appearance, it looks like The Rock may have had a hand in helping Rowdy into that ring by greasing the wheels with Dana White, according to Fansided.
In fact, speaking to the "People's Champ," one source claims that he played a significant role in helping convince UFC President Dana White to sign off on allowing Rousey to participate in the WrestleMania segment this year, MMANews noted.
According to MMANews, World Wrestling Entertainment is currently planning to promote some of her non-UFC projects including acting and other outside ventures.
No prizes for guessing, fans have strong apprehensions that Dana White will let UFC's most dominant female fighter compete in an actual match for the popular pro wrestling pay-per-view event, which is something WWE is hoping to make happen at WrestleMania 32 in 2016 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Whether The Rock will play a role in convincing White to let Rousey make an appearance in the event is yet to be seen. That said, many within WWE speculate that Rousey will make some sort of appearance at the next PPV at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. "Hell In A Cell," an event that takes place on October 25, is the next WWE PPV event slated for the L.A. based arena.
