Microsoft has disclosed that a new engine might be used in the upcoming "Forza Motorsport 6" and it might support DX12.
According to WCCF Tech, Microsoft has revealed that the company has "filed a trademark application for ForzaTech, which is Turn 10 Studio's proprietary and simulation engine for Forza." As of this writing, there is no confirmation yet if the new engine will be used on "Forza 6." However, players are hoping that the said engine will be used in the development of the game, according to Venture Capital Post.
Turn 10 Studios used a new game engine for "Forza Motorsport 5, which was further enhanced for "Forza Horizon 2." The site added that the game will reach a higher level of visuals and it is expected that it will have more features and weather patterns.
Furthermore, the "Forza 6" release is around the holidays this year and no specific date has been revealed by the developer yet. Also, the only information about the game is that it will be exclusive only to Xbox One.
Meanwhile, earlier this year, Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios reportedly have confirmed on the Forza Motorsport website that "Forza 6" is coming with an all-new Ford GT, which will serve as the cover car of the upcoming game.
"Today, at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios officially announced Forza Motorsport 6, which is in development and will be arriving exclusively on Xbox One," it said. "The news came alongside the announcement of the worldwide debut of the all-new Ford GT, which will serve as the cover car for Forza Motorsport 6."
Ford's performance vehicle will reportedly appear in "Forza 6" and this includes the Shelby GT370 Mustang and the F-150 Raptor.
