Codemasters has reportedly confirmed the “F1 2015” release date

According to IGN, the "F1 2015" release date in Europe has been set for June 12. The game was announced in March and is due to launch on PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One in June with a new version of the Codemasters' EGO engine. In the report by Eurogamer, the developer disclosed that the upcoming "F1 2015" game win run at 900p on Xbox One and 1080p on PlayStation 4. However, both versions will run at 60fps.

"On console we have it very, very close to 60fps, certainly on the PS4. Everyone at the studio is doing a fantastic with the optimization, and we're in the final couple of months before release where there's a big push that we hit that 60fps, and that's the plan," said Steven Embling, the game designer for "F1 2015."

Embling also explained the reason why the game has taken a while.

"We had to do everything from the ground up. Our previous games, they were always built on what we had before and we had a stable platform they could build on," he said.

"This time, with this game, we wanted to harness the power of the new consoles. In order to do that we had to start from scratch completely," he added.

"F1 2015" will feature enhancements in over 29 areas, including an engine, fuel tank, suspension, transmission, force feedback and a brand new tire physics model.

The game is set to deliver an ultimate FORMULA ONE videogame experience to the players and the developer will reportedly offer bonus content once the game is available.
