Bungie has announced a huge change to one of Destiny's most important parts -- the Purple Ball in the Tower.
In Bungie's recent weekly update, David "DeeJ" Dague, Bungie's community manager, revealed that, "The Purple Ball has been reborn."
Technical Artist Nate Hawbaker assures that despite the fact that The Purple Ball is now more metal and shinier; it's just as purple in spirit. DeeJ notes that it has captured the hearts and minds of so many Guardians who visit the Tower in a pursuit to find their combat wares.
It is no secret. Destiny has continued to be one of the most beloved first-person shooters in recent memory, with a dedicated community of players, and a stream of updates from Bungie.
The game finally received the much-anticipated update 1.1.2 recently, fulfilling a few oft-requested features from fans. Among other enhancements and fixes, Bungies also increased vault space in its recent update 1.1.2, GameRant noted.
DeeJ stated on Bungie's website that the response to the new shinier, metallic Purple Ball has been greater than what the studio could have hoped. DeeJ noted the comments from Datto, who is a YouTuber and progression professor to the stars.
"It's our new leader," raved Datto.
"Fully responsive. Glows in the dark. Changes color. I have no idea how they're going to top themselves next," Datto said of the Purple Ball.
Fresh from its latest big change, Bungies is already teasing the next substantial update for Destiny.
DeeJ hints update 1.2.0, saying it's the studio's next destination. The update will include the "House of Wolves" in its cargo; however, it will affect the experience of every player of Destiny, irrespective of whether they expand their horizons or not.
The "House of Wolves "add-on for Destiny is slated to launch on May 19th.
