BlackBerry has started selling the unlocked version of Passport and Classic at a discounted price, according to GSM Arena.
The BlackBerry Passport, initially priced at $599, is now available for $549 while the BlackBerry Classic, which used to cost $449, will now available to purchase at $499. For more information, check the BlackBerry store.
Also, the BlackBerry Z30 and Q5 are now priced at $229 and $149, respectively. Crackberry reported that prices listed on BlackBerry Passport, Classic, Z30 and Q5 are based on US pricing, but the devices are also on sale in other regions served by ShopBlackBerry.
According to BlackBerry's official website, the Passport has a 4-5-inch screen size with a resolution of 1440 x 1440. The device runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz with Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB of RAM and 32GB flash with a removable MicroSD memory slot up to 128GB.
The BlackBerry Passport runs on the BlackBerry 10 operating system with a 3450 mAh integrated non-removable battery, which lasts up to 14 hours GSM talk time and up to 14.5 days GSM standby time.
In terms of camera, the device has a 13MP rear camera with optical image stabilization, 5-element f2. 0 lens, backside illumination, LED flash, 5x digital zoom, 6DOF video stabilization and 1080p HD video recording at 60fps. The front-facing camera of the handset has 2MP with 3x digital zoom, 720p HD video recording as well as image and video stabilization.
Meanwhile, the company is rumored to be working on another Passport-inspired device reportedly named "Oslo", according to Ecumenical News.
The rumored device is speculated to be similar to the Passport, but with round edges and might have a different speaker grill design. It is rumored to sport the same processor, camera and display as Passport.
However, as of this writing, the company has not yet released any information about the Oslo.
