'Tekken 7' Release Date Announcement For Xbox One And PS4 Expected In July? Bandai Namco's Game Will Be Powered With 'UNREAL 4' Engine

The "Tekken 7" release date announcement is reportedly scheduled for July 25 -- and it will reportedly be powered by an "UNREAL 4" engine.

According to Venture Capital Post, the "Tekken 7" release date announcement is expected "on the San Diego Comic Con under BANDAI NAMCO Fighting Game Panel within this year, currently set on July 25th."

In addition, Breath Cast wrote that the "Tekken 7" release date for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One game console has not been revealed by the developer while the PC might be available later this year. Furthermore, the upcoming game will be powered by the "UNREAL 4" engine. The said engine, according to Christian Post, allows the user to play across multiple platforms.

Also, there are mechanisms present in the game. "Rage Art is a mechanism that lets each player to make unblockable attacks that cause 30 percent damage depending on the character played," writes Christian Post. Another mechanism applied is the so-called Power Crush, which allows the player to carry out the attack even while receiving attacks from the opponent.

Three characters on "Tekken 7" already have trailers available to watch and they are, Devil Jin, Jin Kazama and Josie Rizal. Among the three characters, Josie Rizal is the newcomer.

Rizal is the first Filipino player that is equipped with the kickboxing fighting style and Eskrima, a form of martial arts performed in the Philippines that uses "Arnis" -- a wooden stick weapon.

Meanwhile, GMA News reported that the National Commission for Culture in the Arts (NCCA) will study and "what actions it may take on the issue of the name and image of (national hero) Dr. Jose Rizal" being used in the "Tekken 7" character. NCCA Chairman Felipe de Leon Jr. said that they will be working on with the National Historical Commission of the Philippines to study the legal aspect of the issue.
