OnePlus has recently disclosed that OnePlus One will be available with no invites while its successor might be released in the third quarter.
According to Pocket-lint, the OnePlus planned the OnePlus Two release date in the third quarter. However, no specific date has been mentioned to date.
In the report by Venture Capital Post, Carl Pei, the co-founder of OnePlus, said that OnePlus Two will be available in the third quarter and will not be delayed. Furthermore, Pei stated that the company is now ready to handle the increased production.
"By rigorously testing and improving our logical structure over the last one year, we are far more confident that our processes have matured enough for us to handle the increased production and after-sales support that comes along with opening up sales," he said, according to PC Tablet.
In addition, the OnePlus blog writes that the company said that with the experience they gained with One, they are "far more prepared to make the same transition with the OnePlus Two," and added that the upcoming device will be initially launched with invites.
Meanwhile, the OnePlus One smartphone is officially available without an invite -- "forever".
In its blog, the company confirmed that the OnePlus One device will be available to everyone without an invite needed.
"We pour over your comments on our forums and social media and soak in the feedback you give us at events all around the world. We try to not just listen, but also act on these lessons. Your feedback has resulted in a wider range of accessories, better logistics options and an evolution from invites to pre-orders to Tuesday Open Sales," it said.
"Now, we're taking it one step further. Starting today, the One will be available without an invite. Forever."
