Young girls looking to emulate Kylie Jenner's full lips have been using glasses, bottles or any other suction devices in what a doctor dubbed as very dangerous. Meanwhile, the "KUWTK" star finally spoke up to thumb down the #KylieJennerLipChallenge.
In a Twitter post, Tyga's rumored girlfriend wrote, "I'm not here to try & encourage people/young girls to look like me or to think this is the way they should look."
"I want to encourage people/young girls like me to be YOURSELF & not be afraid to experiment w your look. ️️️"
Kylie Jenner has been hounded by plastic surgery rumors, from breast and butt implants to injecting collagen on her lips to make it appear fuller. The rumored girlfriend of Tyga denied the rumors, claiming that she made her lips fuller through the effective use of make-up.
In a report from Seventeen magazine, young girls have been trying to recreate the full lips of Kylie Jenner to dangerous results.
The girls were also posting on Twitter about the results of their attempts with the hashtag, #KylieJennerLipChallenge.
One girl had her blood vessels to the lips burst, which resulted to discoloration and swelling.
She tweeted, "After minor bruising and discoloration I've recovered from the #kyliejennerchallenge. Never again."
The magazine asked dermatological surgeon Dr. Dendy Engelman whether the #KylieJennerLipChallenge is dangerous. He said, "The new trend in trying to DIY lip plumping is quite concerning. Not only can significant pain, swelling, and bruising result from these suction techniques, but there is potential risk for scarring and permanent disfigurement with repeated attempts."
In an interview with Grazia earlier this month, Tyga's rumored girlfriend reiterated that her lips are natural.
Kylie Jenner said, "Stop talking about my lips. I haven't had plastic surgery. I've never been under the knife. People flashback to pictures of me when I was 12 and say "Kylie's so different" but how can I look the same from 12 -18?"
