'Constantine' Season 2 Cancelled Or Renewed? Series Relies On Petition For Renewal

Is "Constantine" season 2 cancelled or renewed? Showrunner Daniel Cerone revealed that seeing the NBC series again on the screen is actually a "long shot." Fans of the series have taken to Twitter to create a petition using the hashtag #SaveConstantine.

According to Master Herald, the fate of "Constantine" 2 is still hanging by a thread. Daniel Cerone reportedly had been pitching what will happen in the forthcoming episodes, unfortunately he has yet to receive a positive response from the network executives, flaming cancellation rumors.

"Now, is it fair to say that Constantine is a long shot? Sure, that's fair to say," he said.

"While we marginally improved a tough time slot for NBC, we're a very expensive show to produce. A lot of NBC's decision making will not doubt hinge on their new pilots and how they feel those new shows would fare as a companion piece to Grimm, versus a second season of Constantine."

It's still unclear whether "Constantine" will be renewed or cancelled for season 2, however, the series had amassed quite a fan base which would hopefully convince NBC to give the show another chance.

Reports say that "Constantine" has an average of 3 million viewers a show. Several fans actually took to Twitter to express their support for the series, using the hashtag #SaveConstantine. It's also interesting to note that "Constantine's" rating is constantly on the rise.

Perhaps to further convince the NBC executives to renew "Constantine," Cerone reportedly encouraged fans to stream the available episodes of the show and share them to their friends to create the much needed hype.

Cerone revealed that fans will know if "Constantine" gets renewed or cancelled by the end of May. It may be "long shot" but fans, cast and show runners remained optimistic of the possibility of a renewal.
