Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) and Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch) characters play a vital role in building up the much awaited "Avengers: Age of Ultron."
In March, Marvel dropped a new "Avengers: Age of Ultron" trailer. The epic footage unveiled a few hidden surprises, like Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch being villains and the Hulk and Black Widow getting close. A blooming romance?
Talking about the Black Widow, E! News noted that Captain America, Iron Man, The Hulk, Hawkeye and Thor couldn't have defeated Loki without her help in Marvel's "The Avengers" (2012).
In a featurette, debuting exclusively on E! News, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said, "There have been unbelievably powerful female characters in the comics for decades and decades, so it's always on our minds: Where can we bring powerful women from the pages of the comics up onto the screen?"
Although Black Widow's motivations are not always clear, her intentions are pure, Scarlett Johansson argues. The 30-year-old stunning actress explained that though Natasha is not exactly a team player, but she knows that she belongs with the Avengers.
In director Joss Whedon's sequel, The Avengers come together after the appearance of Ultron, a technological villain who won't be happy until he wipes out the human race. But that's not all; the superheroes have more things to worry about.
Twins Pietro Maximoff (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), a.k.a. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, come from an Eastern European country known as Sokovia that used to be a S.H.I.E.L.D post.
Elizabeth Olsen revealed that she will be reprising her "Avengers: Age Of Ultron" role of Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch for the upcoming Marvel threequeel "Captain America: Civil War," during the "Meet The Filmmakers" event at London's Apple Store.
Although ComicBookMovie notes that this is not yet been made official by Marvel, following Olsen's confirmation, it probably won't be too long until it is. Olsen even revealed that she begins shooting the movie in 2 weeks' time in Atlanta.
No doubt, Scarlet Witch is a highlight of "Avengers: Age Of Ultron."
The much awaited superheroes sequel also stars Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Stellan Skarsgård (Erik Selvig), Anthony Mackie (Sam Wilson/Falcon), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Idris Elba (Heimdall), Don Cheadle (James "Rhodey" Rhodes/War Machine), Paul Bettany (J.A.R.V.I.S./Vision), and Hayley Atwell (Peggy Carter).
"Avengers: Age of Ultron" is slated to release in the US on May 1.
