The latest "Warframe" update from Digital Extreme is all set to roll for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Besides bringing the usual array of new cosmetic items, the update also brings a new playable Warframe, new game modes, and a new cooperative preparation/hunting space called the Sanctuary, IGN noted.
According to a post on PlayStation Blog, Warframe's Sanctuary update to PlayStation 4 not only brings a PvP overhaul to the console version of the free-to-play cooperative third-person shooter video game, but also a new game mode, quest and Warframe.
The new Warframe dubbed "Chroma," features a blend of offensive power and squad buffs that combine forces like ice, lightning, and fire on the battlefield. According to the official announcement, "Chroma" can control almost all of the elements, and put them to use in order to become a force to be reckoned with.
The patch highlights:
New Warframe: Chroma
A master of deadly elements, "Chroma" is capable of altering his damage output by simply changing his coloring.
New Game Mode: Cephalon Capture
Cephalon Capture is the latest addition to Warframe's PvP, boasts a limited selection of Warframes and weapons completely balanced for a competitive Capture the Flag style game mode. Moreover, players can join the brand-new Conclave Syndicate led by a survivor of the Old War, Teshin, who seeks to advance Tenno via self-discipline.
New Quest: The New Strange
Under the guidance of Cephalon Simaris and his new Sanctuary, hunt a curious new threat across the Solar system. While trying to solve the mystery behind the Arcan Codices, learn more about the unique interaction between Cephalons.
PlayStationLifestyle notes that this Quest servers as an introduction to Synthesis Scanning, Sanctuary's exclusive target hunting Scanners and it also rewards Chroma's blueprints upon completion.
Sanctuary
The Sanctuary is where Tenno can work together for a common goal. Players can track down rare targets in missions and them to the Sanctuary's database using the Synthesis Scanner, unleashing new lore. Earn standing with Simaris and practice future Mastery tests or pit battle strategies against enemies in the Codex.
