Asus Zenfone 2 Available In India Starting At $206, Device Available in Four Variants, Detailed Specs, Features and Price Inside

Asus has officially introduced its latest smartphone, the Zenfone 2 in India, with a starting price of $206.

According to GSM Arena, the Asus Zenfone 2 was formally introduced by the company in India and will be available for pre-order at Flipkart. The model is available in four variants, and there are two with 4GB of RAM and 2GB of RAM.

The 2GB of RAM variants include the Zenfone 2 ZE550ML version with 5.5-inch 720p display, 16GB internal storage, quad-core 1.8GHz Intel Atom Z3560 processor that costs Rs 12,999, which is roughly around $206. The other model has the same screen size and CPU, but has 1080p HD display and costs Rs 14,999, which is around $237.

Furthermore, the other two variants with 4GB of RAM includes the Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML with 64GB internal storage priced at INR 23,999, which is around $379, while the other one has 32GB built-in storage for INR 19,999, which is roughly around $316. Both variants have 5.5-inch 1080p display and quad-core 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 chipset.

Moreover, Asus CEO Jerry Shen said that he is excited to bring the Asus Zenfone 2 to India.

"We are incredibly excited to bring Zenfone 2 to consumers in India," according to Asus press release.

"ASUS believes that the best technology should be used by a mass audience, and we have drawn on our core competence to deliver beautiful design and unprecedented performance in an empowering luxury for everyone to enjoy."

Meanwhile, the company is reportedly expecting to ship 30 million Zenfone smartphones this year, cited DigiTimes.

"Shipments of Asustek's new Zenfone 2-series smartphone will reach two million units in May after their launch in March," said sources from the company's upstream supply chain. "The monthly shipments will rise to 2.5-3 million units in June."
