Micromax announced the launch of its Canvas Tab P480, the successor to the company's Tab P470.
The new voice-calling tablet launched in the Indian market is the successor to Micromax's Tab P470. The tab features a 7-inch IPS display with a 1024x600 pixels resolution. The Canvas Tab P480 is powered by a 1.3 GHz Quad core processor (chipset not specified) with 1GB RAM, IndiaToday noted.
Under the hood, the device shelters two SIM card slots and connects to 3G networks. Although the Canvas Tab P480 currently runs on KitKat v4.4, Micromax promises an upgrade to Android Lollipop 5.0 over the air.
Mobiletor noted that the Micromax Canvas Tab P480 boasts a Quicklook option for getting news feed and social media updates in one single place. Moreover, collaborations with various developers imply that users will also find apps like Truecaller, Hello TV and Saavn pre-loaded onto this latest release.
P480 is the third tablet in the Indian consumer electronic company's new portfolio of Canvas Tab devices, which encompasses the P470 and the P666. Some of its main specs include a 5MP AF rear camera with LED flash, a 7-inch touchscreen, 1GB RAM and voice calling. In addition, users can now take front and back shots at the same instant. With the Canvas Tab P480, you can now click some cool selfies with the Selfie mode by simply pressing the stable shot button.
