Looks like Marvel fans need to tread guarded if they want to avoid "Avengers: Age of Ultron" spoilers.

The sequel to "The Avengers" (2012) and the eleventh installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), "Avengers: Age of Ultron" is yet to hit screens in a number of territories. According to IGN, there is news making rounds and hinting that the much-awaited movie will be in extended form when it is released on Blu-ray and DVD.

The film is slated to hit U.S. theatres on May 1, but since it already debuted overseas, people are chatting about it and making it a difficult week for avoiding "Age of Ultron" spoilers.

ScreenCrush revealed that Amazon.co.uk is already releasing details about the forthcoming "Age of Ultron" Blu-ray and DVD release. In addition, the announcement reveals that international audiences can start pre-ordering them online.

CinemaBlend noted that a small message popped up to reveal that the home releases with feature an "extended version" of the film as well as an "alternate ending."

Although there is no detail yet about what those changes and extended scenes might be, director Joss Whedon has previously said that his original cut of the movie was more than three hours long, implying that there is no lack of potential material. Besides, this also means that Whedon had to cut more than 30 minutes to make the official theatrical runtime.

The big question is, what could he possibly have cut?

The movie trailer shows a mysterious lady walking into a pool of water. While many speculated that she could be an Asgardian or even a Wakandan, she does not appear in the film. According to some critics, the weaker parts of "Age of Ultron" were these specific scenes with Thor as they were a bit confusing and also seemed incomplete. The trailers also showed a small moment when Scarlet Witch falls to her knees on a collapsing city street. This moment which happens in a different location in a different scenario doesn't appear in the film either. Perhaps fans will see more of that.

As far as the alternate ending is concerned, it can't be too different than the finished version as the MCU is all about continuity.
