Microsoft has announced that the Lumia 640 XL can now be purchased in the UK.

Windows Central writes that the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL is now available for purchase in the UK for £219 ($339), VATY included.

The device, which has been up for pre-order since mid-March, is currently available only in orange and black color variants. The cyan and white are not yet available.

According to the Microsoft website, the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL has a 5.7-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 that translates into 259 ppi. The device has a display feature such as Nokia ClearBlack, IPS LCD Technology, Corning Gorilla Glass 3, wide viewing angle, orientation sensor, low-power mode and sunlight readability enhancements.

Under the hood, the device runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, clocked at 1.2 GHz. It has 1 GB of RAM, 30 GB free on OneDrive and 8 GB built-in memory that can be expanded up to 128GB via a MicroSD card.

The Microsoft Lumia 640 XL runs on Windows Phone 8.1 operating system with Lumia Denim and offering features like Live Folders, one-swipe Action Center and Word Flow. It has been reported that the said device will be updated with Windows 10 OS, once it becomes available.

The phablet has a 5MP front-facing camera and a 13MP rear camera. Its front camera has several features such as still image capture, a focal length of 24mm, video call and video sharing. The main camera of Lumia 640 XL has camera features dynamic flash, rich capture, and backside-illuminated image sensor.

As for the battery, the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL has 3000 mAh, which lasts up to 23.7 hours maximum talk time on 3G and 31.3 hours maximum talk time on 2G.

Meanwhile, other user interface features present in the Lumia 640 XL are glance screen, tactile feedback, double-tap to wake, voice commands, vibrating alerts and word flow keyboard.
