Samsung Galaxy Tab A Series Can Be Purchased In The US Via Amazon And Office Depot; 9.7-inch Galaxy Tab S Pen Will Be Out On May 17 For $349

The South Korean giant tech Samsung has announced on April 21 that Galaxy Tab A series will be coming to the US in May, and now the mid-range tablets are available in different retail stores.

According to Android Headlines, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A series are available in various retail outlets like Office Depot, Samsung and others.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A series come in two sizes, the 9.7-inch and 8-inch display. When it comes to the price, the 9.1-inch variant carries a price tag of $300 while the 8-inch model is priced at $230. Both tablets are available in Smoky Blue, Titanium and White color options.

As for the specs, according to Samsung website, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 and Galaxy Tab A 9.7 have the same display technology of PLS TFT and a resolution of 1024 x 768.

Both tablets are powered by Qualcomm APQ 8016 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz and run on Android 5.0 operating system. They have 1.5 GB of RAM, 16 GB ROM and the memory can be expanded up to 128GB via memory card slot.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A series have a 2MP front camera and 5MP rear camera with features such as Geo-tagging, online image uploading, photo editing, buddy photo share, autofocus, video editing and a video recording resolution of 720p.

As for the battery, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a 6000 mAh while the 8.0-inch model offers 4200 mAh.

In addition, other features of the tablets include Milk Music, Live Wallpapers, Samsung Widget Gallery, S Voice, SideSync, Microsoft Office and Downloadable Content. Also, the connectivity options include USB (v2.0), Bluetooth (v4.1), location technology such as GPS with Glonass and Wi-Fi Location Services.

Furthermore, GSM Arena reported that the Samsung Galaxy Tab A series 9.7-inch model with S Pen and in Titanium color will be available to be purchased on May 17 for $349.99.
