Bungie is all set to show off what fans will be getting when "Destiny: House of Wolves" expansion launches later this month as it unfolds a new game activity known as "Prison of Elders."
The first stream revealed "The Reef" and changes to the vendor and currency system, the second unveiled the "Trials of Osiris Crucible" mode. The third will reveal the new "Prison of Elders" mode.
Community manager David "DeeJ" Dague will return to host, this time with lead designer Matt Sammons and community member ProfessorBroman, who will be showcasing the new Arena activity via Twitch, according to GamingBolt.
Matt Sammons will reveal more about "Destiny: House of Wolves" expansion dubbed "Prison of Elders" during a livestream on Twitch on May 6, starting at 11 a.m. PT.
Fans get an early peek at "Prison of Elders" in a new teaser video, which seems like a cooperative, horde mode-style gameplay option for three players.
"Prepare for combat. Fight. Kill. Survive," the new video says.
Besides supporting three player, the activity will see fireteams fighting through waves of enemies, which the teaser shows could range from Hive to Cabal, for an opportunity to earn high level Legendary and Exotic items. Contradictory to the current raids, the "Prison of Elders" allows players to not only create their own fireteam, but also match up with other players, GamingBolt noted.
The "House of Wolves" expansion will raise Destiny's level cap from 32 to 34, and players will be able to exchange ascendant and radiant materials and also redeem commendations for reputation in order to help them get there.
Polygon noted that Guardians will also have the opportunity to level up their existing gear via a process called "ascension." In a livestream last month, Bungie confirmed the upgrades allow for maximum attack to reach 365 on weapons like Fatebringer.
The "House of Wolves" expansion is slated to release on May 19 for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
