Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber would have been back together by now if not for Kendall Jenner, according to the tabloids. But the Canadian singer and the former Disney star were reportedly texting each other during the Met Gala after party.

"Any chances Justin had of reconciling with Selena Gomez at the Met Gala were blown when he paraded around the party with Kendall Jenner on his arm," Celebrity Dirty Laundry dished.

"Selena has hated the reality TV star since 2014 when Justin allegedly cheated on Selena with her at Coachella."

But that didn't stop Justin Bieber from allegedly texting Selena Gomez so they could talk about getting back together.

The source explained, "Justin didn't actually approach Selena, but he started texting her at the after-party. He was trying to get her to leave with him so they could talk in private. He showed some of the text messages to his friends and bragged that Selena could never say no to him, and they were going to hook-up after the party."

But apparently Selena Gomez was hesitant about getting back together as she repeatedly told him to e "just leave with Kendall."

TMZ reported that Selena Gomez just broke up with Zedd so there's now a chance for the ex-Disney star and Justin Bieber to get back together.

During the Met Gala, Justin Bieber went out of his way to compliment his ex-girlfriend as he told TMZ cameras, "Selena looked gorgeous at the Met Ball."

However, Justin Bieber's plan to get back together with Selena Gomez might be thwarted by his closeness to Kendall Jenner.

A source told Life & Style, "For months, Selena sent her angry texts and insulted her. She was really mean to Kendall, but who could blame her? She thought she was her friend."

Apparently, Selena Gomez caught Justin Bieber and Kendall Jenner fooling around, according to the report.
