News of a live adaptation of the hit Japanese animated series "Death Note" have been circulating for a while now. Several reports claimed that Adam Wingard has just been tapped to create the horror film.
According to Stack, Adam Wingard, known for his work in cult horror films such as "You're Next" and "The Guest" will be taking over for Shane Black to direct the highly anticipated movie, who backed out because of previous commitmets.
"Death Note" will be produced by Roy Lee of "The Woman in Black" and "The LEGO Movie." Meanwhile, the screenplay will be written by Jeremy Slater, who recently wrote "Fantastic Four."
