"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" would reportedly have an alternate ending to tie up with "Divergent" movie. Several reports claim that the movie producers are trying to think of ways on how to connect the two dystopian films.

As previously reported by Deadline, Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer said that the company is "actively looking at some development and thinking about prequel and sequel possibilities."

Because of this, some fans have started speculating if the ending to the Suzane Collins' last book "Mockingjay" will be altered to make way for the crossover. Several have taken to Twitter to air their negative sentiments about the ongoing rumors.

It is, however, important to note that Feltheimer's statement was only made in response to the request of fans who wanted the story of Peetah, Katniss and Gale to continue beyond Suzane Collins' novels.

It has yet to be confirmed if a sequel or prequel is in the works but Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth have all expressed their interest in creating another movie in the franchise if given the chance.

Aside from the possibility of a "Divergent" crossover, it has also been rumored that Lionsgate was thinking of intensifying Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Gale's (Liam Hemsworth) relationship. The Inquistr reported that the movie producers are thinking of expanding Katniss and Gale's love story to make room for a possible "Hunger Games" prequel.

"The plan is to add new romantic scenes between Katniss and Gale that didn't exist in the Hunger Games novels. Even though fans are very aware that the series ends with Katniss and Peeta getting together, adding new levels to the relationship between Katniss and Gale could generate more interest in the characters' romance, which could be explored in a prequel."

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2" will be released on Nov. 20, 2015.
