The "Fifty Shades Darker" might be directed by E.L. James, the author of the famous trilogy.

After Sam Taylor decided not to direct the sequel of "Fifty Shades of Grey" some are wondering if the author of the series E.L. James will direct the film, according to Hollywood Life.

An insider told the website that Sam Taylor will not be returning to direct the "Fifty Shades Darker" and added that some are "hesitant" to put E.L. James as a director, though the author has expressed her willingness to do so.

"She wants to do it, but the studio obviously sees the nightmares that could come from that," said an insider. "It's going to be someone new and the announcement will probably be made around July."

An insider added that film executives are eyeing to find a director that is "now well known" so they can keep the costs down and will allow E.L. James and the studio to put their "vision" to the film.

It is rumored that Sam Taylor has left because she was constantly clashing with the British author.

Meanwhile, the "Fifty Shades Darker" teaser has been released showing Jamie Dornan, who is playing the role of Christian Grey.

The FilmiBeat reported that the 29 seconds teaser shows Grey wearing a tuxedo and is getting ready to attend a Masquerade Ball. Grey will go with his girlfriend Anastasia Steele, played by Dakota Johnson.

The "Fifty Shades Darker" teaser has a tagline that reads "Are you ready for something darker?"
