With the deadline set on May 28, Lindsay Lohan might not complete her community service as she barely served 10 hours in the court-mandated order.
According to TMZ, Shawn Holley, the lawyer for Lindsay Lohan, showed up in court on Thursday to update the judge on her community service.
"Pretty shocking, and predictable ... Lindsay has completed 9 hours and 45 minutes," the report claimed. "It's especially maddening because more than 2 months ago the judge threw out a chunk of sketchy hours ... including the credit she got for appearing onstage for her play."
The report went on to add that Lindsay Lohan's excuse for not completing the community service was flimsy at best.
"Lindsay's excuse du jour ... the community services center has changed locations and now it takes her an hour-and-a-half to get there. She has to hire a car service for the 3 hour round trip," TMZ added.
The lawyer then told the judge that Lindsay Lohan would have to do the rest of the hours of her community service back in the US, specifically in Brooklyn.
US Weekly magazine said that LA Superior Court Judge Mark A. Young will give Lindsay Lohan another chance to serve at the Brooklyn Community Center, but the deadline stays.
"If it is not done by May 28, there will be consequences," he said.
Lindsay Lohan's community service was ordered by the judge following her conviction in 2012 for reckless driving and for lying to the cops.
"On Tuesday, Lohan posted a picture on her Instagram account suggesting she was hard at work after a shopping trip to Milan," Radar Online said.
"She captioned the photo, which featured stacked envelopes on a desk, 'Communist service - office day,' with two thumbs up emojis. Lohan caught the spelling error, and corrected the caption to 'Community service - office day.'
"Tuesday night, however, Lohan was spotted partying until the wee hours of the morning in London," the article added.
