Despite spending a good time in the US growing up, Jeremy Lin has not forgotten his roots. In fact, not only is he fluent in Mandarin, but he makes a mean impression as a rapper as well. Meanwhile, the chance of Linsanity returning to Los Angeles Lakers looked slimmer by the minute.

According to Shanghaiist, "Jeremy can be seen rapping in Chinese to background music. At the end of the video his mother makes a brief appearance as he says Happy Mother's Day to her."

"The video reportedly gained over 40,000 likes in less than an hour, with most web users commenting that he was very sweet and kind to his mother," it added.

Jeremy Lin's Chinese rap seemed to be his own composition as the lyrics appeared to be very personal as he talked about how people thinks he doesn't speak Chinese, as well as his love for his family.

Jeremy Lin also paid tribute to his mom in a Facebook post where he wrote, "Happy Mothers Day to my mom!!! She gave me everything she had and raised me with love. She told me to ignore everyone else and pursue my dream of making the NBA. Actually she was the first one who ever told me I could make it. Thanks for getting dunked on by me last year too lol. Love you Mom!! ‪#‎shirshir ‪#‎empowered."

Meanwhile, The Blow Sports pointed out the rumors that continue to circulate about Linsanity leaving Los Angeles Lakers to join Mike D'Antoni, who's also rumored to be taking on the head coaching job for the Denver Nuggets.

Jeremy Lin had his best career when he played for Mike D'Antoni for the New York Knicks, which gave birth to the "Linsanity" nickname, when he averaged about 20 points and almost 10 assists. Last season, the 6-3 point guard averaged 11.2 points and 4.6 assists for the Los Angeles Lakers.
