With UFC 189 closing in, the anticipation for Aldo-McGregor fight for the featherweight belt continues to build as Frankie Edgar fired a warning to Conor McGregor prior to Jose Aldo fight.

While Conor McGregor is looking forward to relieving Jose Aldo of his belt in Las Vegas on July 11, Frankie Edgar believes McGregor wil be biting off more than he could by facing the reigning UFC featherweight champion.

"Conor has never met anyone as strong as Aldo," Edgar said.

A former lightweight champion, Edgar is slated to meet Urijah Faber in the Philippines on Saturday, May 16. However, his sights are firmly set on meeting the winner of Aldo-McGregor, Daily Star noted.

Edgar has no doubts as far as the outcome of the forthcoming contest as he stated that he is going to go with the champ in this one. Talking about McGregor, Edgar said that he has beaten people in destructive fashion and he's got this fight and that's all that matters. Whether he deserves the fight or not is in the past and what he does with it really matters.

With UFC 189 just two months away, the excitement for the main event between Aldo and McGregor continues to build. There are several promotional videos doing rounds online that are getting fight fans incredibly excited about what's to come, according to reports on Fansided.

No doubt, UFC did an amazing job promoting the fight during their world tour, taking the two combatants to several counties to get people excited for the clash. This is the first time the UFC took those measures which cost them more money than any other fight in UFC's history.

A behind-the-scenes documentary made during the world tour gave fans the impression that the two fighters don't like one another. Aldo was seen losing his temper on numerous occasions following disrespectful actions and bold claims from the challenger. Fans were also treated to videos of McGregor stealing Aldo's belt and taunting him with it, along with the Irishman grabbing the champion's neck from behind to irritate him.

The camera even caught a phone conversation between Aldo and Brazilian soccer player Thiago Silva where the champion assured Silva that he'd rip his head off.

The promo expenses further cemented how highly UFC rates both fighters and how big of an audience they are expecting to get out of it. The behind-the-scene footage added to the excitement of the fans.
