Brock Lesnar, dubbed "The Beast Incarnate," who held the WWE world heavyweight championship for seven months before losing it at WrestleMania 31 is expected to return this summer but not to face Seth Rollins.

While rumors hinting Brock Lesnar's return to invoke his title rematch clause are doing rounds, it looks like Randy Orton has an opportunity to become the WWE world heavyweight champion this coming Sunday at WWE Payback as he takes on Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins in a fatal-four-way match.

The WWE Universe is definitely not expecting Orton to walk out as the champion; however there is a possibility that he will as WWE could be looking to build towards Orton vs. Lesnar at this year's SummerSlam, according to reports on Inquisitr.

That said, one of the major issues with potential Randy Orton vs. Brock Lesnar match is that both of them have recently turned babyface, and following Lesnar's post WrestleMania RAW performance, WWE feels that The Beast Incarnate can be the biggest babyface the company has seen since "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

Since February, Randy Orton has been feuding with The Authority and it wouldn't make sense for him to rejoin the group, as an Orton heel turn would likely involve him doing so. Every time WWE has a chance to make a dream match happen, they ignore the babyface vs. heel rule, and just do the match.

Both of the John Cena vs. The Rock matches are a good example of that, and it won't be surprising if they'd do the same with Lesnar vs. Orton.

Lesnar was suspended indefinitely, for storyline purposes, on March 30 when he became irate that Rollins would not give him a match on Monday Night Raw for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Stephanie McMahon issued the suspension after Brock delivered an F5 to both WWE announcer Michael Cole and a cameraman, International Business Times noted.

Though it may be hard to believe, Lesnar has actually faced Orton before in 2002 on an episode of SmackDown. While Lesnar was the youngest WWE Champion in history, Orton was a main-roster rookie at the time. After squashing Orton, Lesnar moved onto bigger and better things. Orton continued his way up the WWE ladder too, joining Triple H, Ric Flair and Batista shortly thereafter and creating the legendary clan "Evolution."

Randy Orton was one of the wrestlers listed on WWE's list of opponents that should face Brock Lesnar earlier this year. At the time, Lesnar's future in the WWE was in question, and many in the company speculated that he was going to leave WWE and return to the UFC, but he stayed with WWE.

While a Seth Rollins vs. Brock Lesnar seems to be the match WWE is building at SummerSlam, there is a possibility that WWE will have Orton win the WWE world heavyweight championship this Sunday, and start building an Orton vs. Lesnar dream match, which probably will involve Lesnar defeating Orton to regain the WWE champtionship belt.
